I don't have much success in consignment stores. Am I too choosey when it comes to my kids clothes? I didn't think so. But, it doesn't deter me from trying. The other day, my persistance paid off... I found three little skirts for Charity. I love them. It wasn't what I went in looking for, of course, but there they were. Skirts are so practical for a growing girl, she can wear these much longer than having a pair of pants or capris.
Yesterday, I went looking for a suit for my 13 year old son who is growing like a weed. We have one consignment store in particular that resells high quality, good condition stuff. They had lots of suits, lots of separtate dress pants and sport coats, just not a suit in the color and size I wanted for him. I'll keep looking and keep praying for that one. I did end up buying him a pullover sweater he'll need for a trip north in November.
I left my name and number for them to contact me when they get a suit that meets my criteria. Some stores keep a log of what their customers are looking for.
I guess her two thumbs up means she likes it. This is a little denim, tiered skirt with a border.

A cute purple corduroy skirt with a ruffle.

A gauzy pink skirt with pintucking and a ruffle.

Here is a closer shot of two of the skirts.

And, just because she looks so cute in her pigtails, I had to share pictures...she's been
growing this hair for three years now.

Super cute skirts! My daughter didn't have any hair at all until she was a year old :)
