I love a good recipe that everyone will eat. This one comes from my grocery store. I went in one late afternoon right before the dinner hour and, lo and behold, they had samples of Pasta Fagioli. I love it when my visit to the grocery store coincides with their cooking and handing out samples.
I grabbed a recipe card and made the soup up within a couple days. I use the crock pot so I can prepare it whenever it's convenient in the day and just forget about it. It was so delicious I have to share the recipe. I always ask the cook if she made any changes to it...she said she didn't but she did say that you can use leftover chicken or any other meat instead of the salt pork. I used chicken breasts.
I made the Romano bread recipe listed with it too, but didn't take a picture of it.
