Welcome to "All In A Day" - A Wednesday event with seven blogging mothers.Like many of you, I find large families interesting. When I was young, I had only one sister (found more later, but that's another story). I had a BFF who was one of six children. I just loved that she had so many people to love and be loved by. I think the fact that her family exhibited Christ-like character qualities had a lot to do with it even though I didn't understand any of that at the time.
Fast forward thirty-plus years (uh hum) did I just say thirty-plus years? Where does the time go? God has blessed me with ten children and now I'm in a large family myself.
I'm often asked "How do you do it?" Well, here is a chance to find out how several moms of large families do grocery shopping, laundry, cooking, homeschooling, etc. I'll share my experiences here and you can visit these blogs below to meet other moms and read about their methods in the madness.
So sit back with your cup of java or tea and enjoy the peek into our lives. You can participate too, just join the link below by putting in the URL of your post. Introduce yourself and let others get to know you.

A little about us...
I'm Kathy, married to Steve for 24 years. We met through church and started dating when I was 18 and he was 29. We live in South Florida, where we both grew up. Steve has had a long, fulfilling career with the government. In his retirement, he now works as a consultant for a government agency on a contract basis. We have ten children who are educated at home.
I didn't start out thinking I wanted ten children but I eventually became open to whatever number God wanted to give us. Having wonderful pregnancies helps in that regard. Now, a quick introduction to my children.
Kayla is 20 and is a college student. People describe her as a typical first-born.
Stephanie is turning 18 tomorrow. She never says a bad thing about anyone.
Allison is 16, is very creative and thoughtful.
Stevie is 14 with a changing voice and growing stature.
Carolyn is 12 and is witty and full of sweetness.
Kelly is 10, very independent, loves to cook and plays the harp.
Tommy is 8, is learning to read better. He plays basketball.
Matthew is 5 and loves for me to hold him.
Mark is 5 also and loves to wear a hat at all times.
Charity is 3 and insists she is a big girl but still allows me to call her "Baby."

I definitely find large families interesting...and wonderful. Quite a few of my favorite bloggers have 4 or more kids. Coincidence? I don't think so. ;)
P.S. I share a name with one of your daughters (AND one of my daughters shares a name with one of your daughters too).
