All In A Day - The Sunday Morning Rush

My apologies to you if you came to my blog yesterday expecting to see All In A Day. I wasn't aware it was continuing.

I see the topic is Sunday morning rush. I have to say I'm extremely blessed with a great helper on Sundays. This is the only way I can get through the Sunday morning preparation with any amount of sanity left.

My 16 year-old daughter, Allison, is the first one up. She gets the younger three children dressed (often in their sleep). This is a huge help and saves so much time. Sometimes I will choose the clothes the night before, but more often than not, Allison does this and has it all laying out before Sunday morning. She blesses me so much in doing all this.

She makes the coffee also so when I drag myself out of bed, I can pour myself a cup.

With the three youngest ones dressed and ready, all I really need to do is get myself ready and occasionally call out, "Brush your teeth, get your shoes on..." or "Did you eat breakfast?"
Our church service starts at 9:00 am. That's early for us. It takes about 20 minutes to get to church.

Oh, and I don't mean to make you jealous, but Allison is also really good at doing hair, so she does mine on Sunday mornings, too. Charity's hair doesn't need much done to it at this stage. At three years old, all the other girls had much longer hair and I would braid it or put in barrettes. Charity's hair is low maintenance. Kelly and Carolyn often get Allison or Stephanie to do theirs. So, there really isn't much for me to do on Sunday mornings except make eggs.

Thanks for the comment! You have such a lovely family. Your girls look like lovely young ladies. What a blessing your girls are to help the younger ones.
We have been decluttering here as well. I have done the living room and dining room. It is so liberating! I do dread the bedrooms tho. Ugh!
God Bless!
